Vaughan Richard Perry, Attorney at Law

Vaughan Richard Perry is the Owner of V.R. Perry Law Firm. Vaughan focusses his practices in the areas of bankruptcy, foreclosures, repossession, consumer law and civil litigation. While based in Columbia, Greenville, and Florence, V.R. Perry Law Firm offers legal services to consumers across the State of South Carolina.

Prior to starting his own firm, Vaughan was the Managing Partner at Stone Law Firm where he worked as a Law Clerk and Attorney since 2017. Vaughan also worked as a Law Clerk for the South Carolina Attorney General in the Capital and Collateral Litigation Department. In his time at Stone Law Firm, Vaughan gained valuable experience in the fields of bankruptcy and consumer law and is one of very few active consumer attorneys who has experience with Federal Court adversary proceedings.

Vaughan chose to focus on the area of consumer law because of his desire to help people. From a young age Vaughan has felt obligated to stand up to the bullies of the world and says his best day is when he can help the “little guy” stand up to big corporations that are used to pushing people around. Vaughan enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, Gamecock football, and taking his dogs Mo and Lola on walks by the river.

Vaughan received his undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina in Political Science with minors in both Journalism and Criminal Justice. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law and graduated Cum Laude. Vaughan received the CALI award for Advanced Evidence, International Business Transactions, and Individual Employment Law.

Vaughan is a member of the District Court of South Carolina Bankruptcy Advisory Committee on Local Rules, Practice, and Procedures and the South Carolina Bankruptcy Consumer Law Subcommittee. Vaughan is also a member of the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association and South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division. Vaughan is Licensed to practice law in the State of South Carolina and the District Court of South Carolina.
